Safety
swapd is designed to be a private, two-person space. Even so, sometimes things go wrong, and you need a way to reach a real person who can help.
Reporting something from inside the app
On a revealed Swap, tap the photo you’re concerned about, then the three-dot menu, then Report this. Pick a reason, add anything you want to tell us, and send. A real person reads every report. If the content is illegal or the report involves someone under 18, we’ll treat it as urgent.
Reporting by email
If you can’t use the app, or you’re a parent or guardian reporting on someone’s behalf, email us at safety@getswapd.com. Include as much detail as you’re comfortable with: account name, the other person involved, what happened, and (if you can) a screenshot.
If you’re in immediate danger
If you or someone else is in danger right now, contact the emergency services on 999 (UK) or your local equivalent. swapd staff can’t intervene in a live situation.
If you’re a young person and need to talk
Childline is free, confidential, and available 24/7. Call 0800 1111 or visit childline.org.uk. You can talk to them about anything — not just things happening on swapd.
Illegal content involving children
Reports of child sexual abuse material or anything involving a minor in a sexual or exploitative way should go to the Internet Watch Foundation at iwf.org.uk and to us at safety@getswapd.com. Where we become aware of any such content on swapd we will report it to the relevant authorities and cooperate with any lawful investigation.
