Terms of use

By using swapd you agree to what’s written here. We’ve tried to keep it short and human.
Be kind. Nothing illegal. No nudity. Nothing you’d be ashamed to send if the other person were standing next to you.
That’s the short version. The long version follows.
Who can use swapd
You need to be at least 13. If you’re in a place that requires you to be older to use services like this, that rule applies instead.
If you’re under 18, we apply extra protections by default — see the Privacy policy for details. swapd is not a replacement for talking to trusted adults in your life.
Your account
- You’re responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your email secure.
- One account per person. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
- You can delete your account at any time from the You tab. Your profile and your swaps are removed within 30 days.
Your content
- You own the photos, voice notes, and captions you share. We don’t claim any ownership.
- By uploading, you give us the minimum licence we need to display them to the one other person in your swap. That’s it. We don’t use your content for advertising, we don’t train AI on it, and we don’t share it with anyone outside the pair.
- Either person in a swap can ask for a photo to be taken down. If the other agrees, it disappears from both sides for good.
What you can’t do
Zero tolerance, no second chances, on any of this:
- Anything involving minors in a sexual or exploitative way.
- Sexual or pornographic content of any kind. swapd is not that kind of app.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or attacks based on who someone is.
- Anything illegal where you live or where the other person lives.
- Using swapd to coerce, pressure, or groom anyone.
- Sharing content that belongs to someone else without their permission.
- Trying to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
If we see any of this we’ll remove the content and the account without notice. Where the content is illegal we’ll report it to the relevant authorities and cooperate with any lawful investigation.
Availability and changes
We’ll do our best to keep swapd running, but we can’t promise zero downtime. If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll show you the new version in the app and ask you to accept it before you can carry on.
Liability
swapd is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for lost content, lost time, or anything that follows from using the app. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under UK consumer law that can’t be contracted out of.
Jurisdiction
swapd is operated from the United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a dispute can’t be resolved, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
